“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money”…Alexis de Tocqueville 1805/1859 France… This French political science scholar and writer wrote extensively about the American experiment in Democracy in the form of a Republic. Rarely can one find such lasting truths and harbinger of events to come. Not only has our government used public funds to create a whole class of it’s citizens to be dependent on governments status quo and continues to want even more that our government has created massive debt to acerbate the situation even more. Now we find our president and his administration openly misled the American public (admittedly so) to push through his socialistic healthcare program. Blatant lies were told and it was crammed down the throat of it citizens even in face of it’s unpopularity.   Tocqueville also said “America is great because she is good. If she ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”  The Liberal Democrats got soundly beaten in this last election. Obama’s policies were judged to be bad. So what was his solution? Take an unconstitutional action to increase his parties base by over 5,000,000 people beholden to him and the democratic party with his illegal alien amnesty program. Remember, these socialistic liberals plan over the long term and slowly eats away at the fabric of our great country until it is so weak it will fall. Even Thomas Jefferson warned of the power of government in the “Tyranny of the executive”. Our President has no intention of compromising with anyone…he only desires to make the fundamental changes that will relegate this once proud and strong nation into a mere third world participant. Democracy expands the sphere of individuals where socialism restricts it.
